Licence and refunds

What you can do with the packs

Plain-English terms for buying and using Kithstep. If anything here isn't clear, just ask.

Who you're buying from

Kithstep is run by Victoria Hewitt. Email: hello@kithstep.co.uk.

The licence for each plan

PlanYou can
Single pack or complete setPrint and use the pack as often as you like for yourself and people in your own household, including young people you foster.
PractitionerUse every pack with all the young people you personally support at work, while your subscription is active.
SettingLet every member of staff at one site or service use and print every pack, while your subscription is active.
OrganisationUse the packs across the sites named in your quote, while your subscription is active.

Whatever plan you're on, you can give printed or completed pages to the young person to keep. They're theirs.

What you can't do

  • Share the PDF files with people or organisations outside your licence.
  • Upload the packs anywhere public, such as a website, a public shared drive or a resource-sharing site.
  • Sell the packs, or copy them into your own resources and present them as your own.

The packs are protected by copyright and belong to Kithstep. You're buying a licence to use them, not the copyright itself.

Accessible formats

Every pack includes a large print version and a Word version for screen readers. Audio and braille versions are available on request at no extra cost. The same licence applies to every format.

Getting your files

Online orders are handled by Payhip. You'll get a download link by email straight after paying. If it doesn't arrive, check your junk folder, then email us.

Refunds and cancelling

Single packs and the complete set

Because these are digital downloads, you'll be asked at checkout to agree that the download starts straight away. Once you've downloaded the files, you lose the usual 14-day right to cancel. This doesn't affect your other legal rights. If a file is faulty, won't open, or isn't what we described, tell us and we'll replace it or give you a full refund.

Subscriptions

  • You can cancel any time from your Payhip account or by emailing us.
  • Monthly plans stop at the end of the month you've paid for.
  • Yearly plans stop at the end of the year you've paid for. We don't refund part-years, except where the law says we must.
  • When a subscription ends, your licence to keep using the packs at work ends too.

Organisation plans

Organisation plans are agreed by quote and invoice. Payment is due within 30 days of the invoice. The quote sets out the sites covered and the dates.

Free copies for care-experienced young people

Young people with care experience can ask for the young person's edition of any pack for free. It's for their own personal use only, one pack per request.

  • The young person's edition has every activity, but not the staff notes, progress records or pathway plan links in the full packs.
  • It can't be used by workers, services or organisations, including to run sessions or print copies for other young people. That needs a Practitioner, Setting or Organisation plan.
  • We may turn down requests that look like they're for a service rather than a young person, and point them to the right plan instead.

Copies are marked

Every PDF, paid or free, is marked on each page with the email address used to get it and the date. Each download link works a limited number of times. If you run out, email us and we'll reset it.

Using the packs safely

Kithstep offers practical educational support. It doesn't replace safeguarding procedures, statutory guidance, professional assessment, therapy or clinical advice. Professionals should use the packs alongside their own organisation's policies. If someone is in immediate danger, call 999.

Changes to prices

We may change prices for new customers. If you're already subscribed, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice of any change to your price, and founding subscribers keep their original price for as long as they stay subscribed.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Last updated October 2026.
